Scarborough Group International appoints Velway as its facilities management partner.

Velway’s position as a leading national property and facilities management provider has been further reinforced with its latest contract win, which will see the company deliver its services to Scarborough Group International (SGI)

Scarborough Group International is a long-established property investment and development business with a global reach and enviable reputation for delivery. Over 40 years, the Group has grown from a UK based real estate developer and investor into a global organisation with an award-winning portfolio of projects. Today SGI is one of the most active privately owned developers whose activities are mainly focused within the Northern Powerhouse.  

Velway’s role is to manage the facilities management aspects of SGI’s national portfolio covering areas from Edinburgh to Newport, to Central London. The team will manage compliance across the portfolio, working with Redpath Bruce as managing agent to ensure that the properties are managed within their agreed service charge budgets. Velway will also have responsibility for completing a range of small project works.

Velway’s directors and operational team have previous experience working on the SGI portfolio meaning the transition of processes and information has been seamless. Velway has built the portfolio into its state-of-the-art computer aided facilities management system and embedded the client into its standard operating model with great success.

Leading the Velway team is Operations Director, Matthew Wilson, and he is supported by National Facilities Manager, Jack Tindell. Commenting on the contract win, Matthew Wilson said:
